Concrete and siding do not usually get dirty in a way you notice day to day. Driveways, sidewalks, and patios are washed with a rotating surface cleaner rather than a bare wand. It applies even pressure across a wide path, which is what eliminates the zebra striping you see on DIY jobs and on work done by crews in a hurry. Oil spots, rust, and organic staining get spot-treated before the main pass.

House siding, soffits, and eaves get the soft-wash treatment: a cleaning solution that kills the algae and mildew at the root, dwell time to do the work, then a low-pressure rinse. Killing the organism is what keeps it from returning in three months, which is why pressure alone is a short-term fix.

Decks, fences, and porches are washed at the lowest effective pressure and with the grain, because wood is the least forgiving surface on a property. Getting it clean without raising the grain is what makes the difference between a deck ready for sealing and a deck that needs sanding first.
